Hmm..
1. He wants to see if there's a halal certificate for certain things (my husband did that once in the local KFC ;))
2. He want's to ask the manager why not sell all halal stuff so more customers ie Muslims buy and business grows.
3. He saw the cashier's a Muslim he knows and decides to say salam.
4. He saw the cashier's a Muslim he knows and decides to offer him a job in his business.
5. He saw his kid was in line and joins to pull his kid outta there 
6. He found a wallet/keys/purse/money lying outside the restaurant and wants to give it to the lost and found.

Very gud @ sunbeam. I didnt even think of that.
Maybe the man selling something in a van outside and waiting to see the manager to see if they want to buy from him.

Ok 20 reasons so far remember we gotta think of 70....
21 )He wanted to use the phone.
22)He wanted to know the ingredients of a certain food item.
23) He was sent to deliver something for someone there.
24)He was waiting in line for a friend,who was in the bathroom.
25)He was returning a wrong order.
26)He wanted to speak to one of the staff.
27)He had no idea the place was haram as he was a visitor to the country.
28)He could not see the menu from a distance.
29)He wanted a glass of water for his thirsty child outside.
30)He did not speak the language of the people so he knew the cashier spoke his language.lol
31)He wanted directions to another restaurant.
I'm stuck............
